This memorial garden was commissioned by Dodington parish council following the closure of a local care home and is sited in a corner of some playing fields in Yate.
A level wheelchair friendly self-binding gravel path makes a circuit around the garden and there are two separate seating areas, one with a timber pergola.
A number of specimen trees have been planted to give interest at different times of the year including flowering cherries, flowering pears, birches, a Dawn redwood and a Liquidambar.
The borders are planted up with a relatively limited palette of shrubs, perennials and grasses including dogwoods, roses, lavenders, russian sage, verbena, rudbeckia and miscanthus.
